Captain Beans’ Cruises

Q: Who is Captain Bean?
A: Captain Beans grew up in Santa Monica, CA around the water. From the time he was in college he was sailing to Mexico every chance he got. Eventually set his sights on sailing to the South Pacific. However, when his vessel stopped in the tiny town of Kailua-Kona on the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii he instantly fell in love with the local people and the marine life in the area so Captain Beans decided to sail no further. He developed and sailed several vessels and today the double-hulled Polynesian canoe, Tamure operates under the proud name of Captain Beans' and is known the world over as "The flashy canoe with the friendly crew".

1-Day Hawaii/Volcano Special = Hawaii-Volcano Special
1-Day Maui/The Valley Isle = Maui - Magnificent Maui

Q: What do we need to bring with us when we go on a tour?
A: If you're going on a tour to a neighbor-island you will be REQUIRED to show a picture I.D. to board the plane, other than that, what you bring is up to you. - There are no restrictions on photo taking or video taping and although the price for all admissions is included with your tour, it's a good idea to have some cash for souvenirs, meals and snacks. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes and having a light sweater or jacket with you. - The buses are cool and if your destination is Haleakala or Waimea Canyon a jacket is a MUST.
